In 1969 it launched as an independent, German version of the Dutch model, today, in 2019, it is the longest-existing music magazine hardly replaceable from the country’s pop-cultural discourse – the Musikexpress. 50 years, that means not only gold wedding for some readers with their favourite magazine, but also half a century of reports, reviews, boast and tears. But above all: dedicated and passionate music journalism. 50 years Musikexpress, this day of honour will be celebrated with readers and critics. And what would be more appropriate than a great open-air festival with an outstandingly curated line-up?
